Can I just stop HRT?

I am 10 weeks out from TAH hysterectomy, kept my ovaries. At 6 weeks my MD put me on a very low dose estrogen "for a short while" because of hot flashes, trouble sleeping, etc., and I have been on them just over a month. Today I had my last postop visit with my doctor. An hour past my scheduled appointment time he flew in and flew out. I asked him a couple of my questions, but I completely forgot to address the hormones! I am feeling better, and don't want to be on the estrogen for longer than necessary. I have about 2-3 week supply left. Do I just finish them and then it's okay to stop cold turkey? I will be calling him, but am just curious as to what y'all know about this! Thanks!

I would definitely call your doctor before stopping cold turkey. There may be a way to step down. I don't know.

Some ladies have a difficult time (hot flash, night sweats, moodiness, etc) while others don't.
