Numbness from insision through pubic area

I am almost 8 weeks post-op. I have been cleared to have sex 2 weeks ago. my partner and I were going to try this weekend but the problem is I have no feeling from the insision site down to my vigina. Is this normal? When will the feeling return? Should I ask our doctor? I can feel presure when the area is touched but nothing else, which means I cannot be aroused (breast do not work for hme).

Help please....

I had numbness around my incision spots for quite awhile. But, it sounds like you are having a very large portion of your skin that is still numb. If it were me I would probably give the a call.

I had the da vinci hysterectomy and this is week 7 as post op for me. There is still some skin numbness around the incision areas. All my incisions are healed but the skin around my belly button becomes sensitive to the clothing rubbing against it. It has gotten better though. So don't worry. It is part of the healing process.

I had TAH and im 7/8 wks post.I too am still very numb but its not painful.just a little uncomfortable, especially when shaving.(not nice at all!) Having sex was weird, as because you feel numb on the outside well it just felt normal inside(if you know what i mean).
