Upcoming hysterectomy: Will I feel younger, better after TAH?

I am due to have a TAH and bladder repair in November due to fibroids, polyps and stress incontinence. Since all my heavy bleeding and painful periods got severely worse around 2 years ago I have put on so much weight around 30lbs, I feel so old and tired all the time. Did anyone else feel like this and did this improve after surgery?

I am very hopeful that you will get a new spring in your step once you have recovered from surgery. Your body has been fighting the good fight for a while so it is no wonder you feel tired and like you've prematurely aged! Many sisters find they have more energy after their hysterectomies because they aren't bleeding anymore, aren't in pain and generally are healthier after getting rid of all the "junk". That was the case for me and I hope it will be for you! Good luck!
