How long did you wear bladder catheter?

HI I am a week post op and have a supra pubic catheter. I have so much pain when I try to sit on the toilet that I cannot imagine when I'll be able to pee on my own. How long did some of you ladies need this catheter?

I did tvh, cystocele and rectocele and a and p repairs.

I am having a tough time. I constantly feel like I have to pee but nothing comes and I feel so much pain down there. Is this normal?

I had mine till the following morning without issues...removed at like 5 am and went home about 10

I had a TVT done along with my hysterectomy. I kept a foley catheter for 6 days following surgery. I didn't have any pain associated with my bladder/cather at all until a few days after it was removed when I realized I was getting a UTI.

I would imagine that you would have pain, but more from the incisions- I don't think you should have the constant urge to pee. I think you should ask your doctor if you might have a UTI.
