Scared

I love your site. I am scheduled for TVH on June 18th and couldn't be more excited and scared at the same time. I have fought a battle of pain for 8 years and I finally gave up the battle and decided to stop being a martyr. I had so many questions and found your site and now I have so many answers. My preop is on June 12th and I feel totally prepared for that, thanks to you all. I printed out the preop questions list and have added a couple of my own. I love reading your posts and answers. Keep up the good work!

Welcome

Hi Lisa Ba Welcome to Hystersisters,

I can understand your feelings, scared and happy at the same time. My surgery is June 12 and it seems so close yet so far away. You are so right about giving up trying to be a martyr, I tried to do that for the last 16yrs and I am only 27yrs old. Pain is a horrible thing to have to live with.

I am pleased that you have found this site. Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing.

Same Date HysterSister

Hi Lisa,

I have my pre-op on June 11th, a bladder repair consultation appt. on June 6th, and hopefully my hyst on June 18th. This site has also helped me sooooo much. Just wanted to let you know you are in my thoughts and prayers. BTW I have to have a TAH/BSO due to endo, adeno, enlarged uterus-12 weeks, fibroids. For the most part I feel very relieved that a Dr. finally listened to me. I am most concerned about the HRT. I have been diagnosed with PMDD for years now. I have taken everything from natural progesterone to anti-depressants for it. I want to be relieved of the physical symptoms as well as the emotional roller-coaster symptoms. I truly hope and pray all goes really, really well for you. Only 4 more weeks!!!! Keep it touch, sis.

Hi

As you can see from my surgery date I had surgery last year on June 18th. I remember my pre-op was on the June 12th. My birthday is June 15th so June was an exciting and scary time for me last year. I remember how nervous I was and now I can't imagine why. I have gotten along so well and my life is so much happier. God Bless and being scared is just part of it. I wish I could say something that would ease your mind, but alas there isn't anything except you will understand after the hyst why we say hey try not to be nervous.
