4 DAYS TO GO !!! The saga will be over.

Seems I've been waiting forever !! After an ultrasound in February which showed "dark shadows", saw a really old gynie in private practice who refused to do any exploratory tests or surgery, then provided me with a quotation of $25,000 for surgery in a private hospital. My health insurance company would only reimburse me for some of the costs, which meant I would still have to come up with approx. $10,000 myself. So I went back to my Dr and was referred to the public health service (afterall, I've paid taxes since the day I left school). Exploratory surgery determined nothing as too much scar tissue in my uterus due to a previous endometrial ablation. So a week later had an MRI scan, again nothing specific determined, just suspected endometrial cancer. At last having total hysterctomy this Friday, with the surgeon also sampling the other internal organs while I'm "open". If he does find cancer, hopefully it is all "contained" within the uterus he is taking out. A result at last !!
