Intercourse/outercourse different without cervix?

I am wondering if I might ask about the before/after in more detail... OK, here goes. It's personal, but also important to me. Is the cervix responsible for sensation in a regular (clitorally stimulated) orgasm or just a penetration orgasm? My husband just barely (after 8 years) figured out how to give the latter, and I love it on the days I don't have as much pain. But on the days with pain it just isn't possible... Do you know if penetration orgasms are still possible w/o the cervix?

Thanks,
Ellie

It can be very hard to ask personal questions along this nature. And you will find varied answers to your question! We are each different and a hyst can affect us differently.

It can be pleasurable for some women to have their cervix "hit" during intercourse but it can be painful for others.

If you actually experience uterine contracts with an orgasm, then having the uterus removed could affect your response in that aspect.

I can share with you the my personal experience is that I can still have both types of orgasms and I have no cervix.

I wish you the best for whatever you decide is best for you!

A BIG thank you to all of you who don't mind telling me about your experiences!! I really appreciate it. Aside from the strictly medical, this question has weighed on my mind the most. Thank you! ~Ellie

Chalk me up as 'better than before' -- no more pain from the cervix being impacted

OMG, I am so glad somebody asked! LOL! And I am happy to hear this (and so will hubby). My cervix & uterus is tilted so any kind of sex is kinda painful. My sex drive in the last few years has decreased big time and I was starting to think that after the LAVH I was done. There just might be hope for me yet (and hubby too. LOL!)
