Finally called my Dr......

I posted last week because I felt like I maybe getting whiney, and so many of you came to my rescue, and assured me that I was not! Thank You! On Tues., the pain in my hip and groin was so bad, I could no longer stand it, and called my Dr. She saw mw the next day at 7:00am. She was concerned that my belly hurt so much and was so distended at 5 weeks, and that the pain had spread to my groin. She ordered blood work, an x-ray, and contrast CT scan that day. I won't know the results until I see her on Tues., but she is concerned that I may have a hernia. That alone scares me, as the thought of have more surgery, is more than I can stand! I am supposed to return to work this coming week, and I don't know if I am close to being ready. I am also constantly nauseous. I am a sales associate, and I am on my feet 8-10 hours a day. I am looking forward to returning to work, but so uncertain of how I am going to feel. I sell shoes, so I am alos up and down stock room ladders all day when not on the sales floor, and of course this is our busy time. I know I am rambling, but thank you all for being here, and helping me feel like I am not losing my mind! I will post the outcome when I know!

Tamara Ann -

I am sorry to hear you have gone through all of this and great that your Dr. is so concerned about you.

As far as returning to work your Dr. has to release you and you should talk to her. She may not release you next week with everything that is going on.

Hang in there.

G.

Re: Finally called my Dr......

Please take care of yourself to safeguard your healing. If you do indeed have a hernia, it could be made much worse if you return to your active job. If your store really needs your body back to deal with holiday crowds, could you work in a different department, one without the kneeling, squating, and lifting? Perhaps you could be assigned to a register, and allowed to sit on a tall stool?
