Adeno + fibroids, etc = frequent urination?

I was up three times last night to pee; I know I don't have a UTI, I just felt this constant pressure on my bladder. Abdominally speaking I've been feeling intense fullness and heaviness the last few days almost to the point of fatiguing me. Definitely uncomfy and sometimes painful. Just wondering if anyone else experiences similar things - or if any post-op sisters found that the frequent peeing stopped after hysterectomy. It reminds me of late pregnancy. I'm ready for a full nights sleep!

Re: Adeno + fibroids, etc = frequent urination?

Kbid, I can relate completly. I had fibroids and endometriosis and it also turns out adenomyosis as well. Prior to my TAH on Oct 12 I was constantly going in for UTI tests because it always felt like I had one. I constantly felt like I had to urinate and always had a full pressure in my pelvis. I would get up 3-4 times a night to pee. I totally understand where you are coming from.

I wish I could tell you things are better now, but I still have my catheter in from surgery. They tore my bladder when they peeled it off the uterus. That full feeling is gone though and my catheter comes out on Saturday. Once the bladder finishes healing I'm hoping all will be good.

Take care.

Oh my! I'm so sorry to hear of that surgical complication. I hope you heal fully, with no lasting negative effects. I bet you'll be glad to get that cath out! I've had one in for 4 days before, and that was enough for me. You poor thing!

That sounds wonderful rainbowinsight. Mine has been almost constant for the last 6 months but hopefully 22 days from now things will be much better. My hope is that we all feel better very soon.

Re: Adeno + fibroids, etc = frequent urination?

I can totally identify with the pressure on the bladder. It was so ridiculous that I had potty breaks planned behind certain bushes and in certain stores when I went for my daily walk. I don't think my rear end had ever seen so much fresh air in its entire life before the summer of 2010. Anyhow, it was instant relief as soon as I had my surgery, even with the extra fluids that they were pumping into my body during and after surgery. Good luck with your surgery.

I am sure you will have instant relief, I have had pressure on my bladder and bowel for the last two years, four hours after surgery I was sitting in the chair with no pressure, what a relief, I haven't felt this good in a while, life is good. Wishing you the same results and speedy healing
