Upcoming hysterectomy 2/16

It's a week before my surgery and I started thinking about how overweight I am (5'4 and 203lbs). Will that make it harder for the director to work around my mid section? Any body that had a similar situation or is thinking about this? Or am I the only one?

Don't worry! I am shorter than you and weigh more than you, and everything was totally normal for me. I had worried that my tummy would be too big for them to make their little incisions, but clearly not! Remember that these doctors/surgeons see all kinds and sizes of people, you are absolutely not out of the ordinary!

You're most definitely not alone. From what I've read, it sounds like fluffier hysterectomy patients are in the majority (I certainly qualify!). You should be fine. Take good care of yourself

I'm about the same size and had no issues with the surgery or healing (at least with regards to the hysterectomy). I know it's hard not to worry, but your size is definitely not an issue.
