Re: MDD, Anxiety, Panic Disorder
Are you sure you aren't pregnant? Ha ha! Hee hee! Sorry, I couldn't resist!
I have been on Lexapro 10 mg for the last 10 years. It has worked wonders for me. The only unfortunate thing is that it has made me gain weight. That's quite the bummer! I HAVE to be on an SSRI for the rest of my life. My pdoc and I have tried to wean me off but I had debilitating panic attacks/anxiety. It was truly awful.
I tried zoloft for a few weeks but I felt great and had a great weight gain. Arrrgghh!!!! Lexapro was the one and has made me feel great!
Unfortunately, since I've gained about 50 pounds on it, my pdoc and I will be working to see how to lose weight. It may mean getting off Lexapro and going on Celexa. We are waiting until February to start anything because of the hysterectomy and possible hormone fluctuations.
I love my pdoc. He's a great doctor. He really listens to me and what I have to say. We talk about how the meds work and about life in general. I trust him a lot. I wish you luck figuring out your anxiety issues. It's a terrible thing to live with. It's painful and awful!
Let me know if you have any questions about SSRIs. They are a great drug if they work for you. They can really give you your life back!

No I don't think I am prego lol !! I love my GP too he listens to me and try's to help me too ! I am so scared to try any other ssri .
I did not understand what you said about Zoloft .
Zoloft made me horrible .... And it was a child's dose .
I wish lexapro was as cheap as Zoloft . I really don't want to be on anything . But if these emotional outbreaks and anxiety don't stop I may have to . Very much praying against it . The boob thing is very bazar ! My hair finally stopped falling out so I am hoping I am leveling off . Thanks for the encouragement .
Hugs
Abby
