Discomfort under right rib

I had the davinci scope hysterectomy 2weeks ago. Since then I have a fullness type of discomfort on my right side up by my ribs almost to the point of having difficulty catching my breath. Anyone else have this issue?

I did for a little while. Maybe on and off for a couple of days. Hopes it goes away soon. :heart

if it doesn't done stop you may look into having your gallbladder check out.

Mine is really bothering me. It didn't the first few weeks to swollen to know but the last few weeks its pretty constant.
I had this rib pain ladt year and had scans done and they found the fibroid. I went to a surgeon pre op and he said no stones but it wasn't the healthiest looking gall bladder. I bet I need it removed. I'm giving it a couple more weeks and going to the doctor. I hope yours gets resolved. I dread another surgery this soon.

I had the same paid around 4 weeks post op. it got so bad I almost wanted to go to the hospital... I rested and then it went away. I have slight twinges of pain now but nothing unbearable, however if you continue to have pain I would get it checked out.

I had this for nearly a year after my surgery. I had one weird, maybe quarter sized spot right under my ribs on my right side that hurt. Well, hurt wasn't the right word, but something. It happened more often if I carried something heavy. It felt close to the surface, not like an organ or anything. Eventually, it went away. The doctor never was able to tell me what it was, but I am assuming scar tissue or something with the muscle.

Thank you all for your input. Mine gets better when I rest and worse if I do too much or eat too much. I just feel so swollen and full.

I am sorry, it is probably gas or air introduced internally. If it helps, many sisters feel discomfort like this, so you are not alone.

I would suggest you check with your doctor in case you are dealing with pulmonary embolism.
