First post-op day alone...

And it's going well so far. Dh got up to help with the kids, but so did I to first see if I could do it, and to help him since it's Monday after all, and his first day back at work after taking last week off.

I think it went well. I got tired after standing up a lot making sure they had their clothes for school, and their lunches packed. But it's also not an "oh my I need to go lay down now" kind of tired either.

Not sure when I'm going to attempt driving. The Dr told me 7-10 days before I do. And I've been healing really well, a lot better then I thought I would. Guess not having to have the repairs helped that a lot. Since tomorrow will be day 7, I'm definitely waiting on that. Maybe take a short drive tomorrow where there's no traffic before dealing with morning rush hour to get the kids to school.

In some ways I'm still, why did I do this again?? And in other's it's all, Man this is a piece of cake...and no more periods either!

Re: First post-op day alone...

Atta girl!!!!!!!
Just be careful!!!! I'm hoping that driving is a breeze for you and you wonder what the hubbub is about, but just in case....be careful!!!! It surprised and disappointed me the first time I drove and that was 2 weeks afterwards. Today was OFFICIALLY the first day that my bum didn't hurt sitting that way. The seatbelt was still very annoying tight across my tummy, so I still hold that loose but...
Hang in there and congrats on your first day alone! Make sure you still remember that you have alot of healing happening and your body still does need some down time!
XOXOXOXO

Hi (((BlueEyedWonder)))

I second what (((Nicki))) said. Even if you end up feeling like you can conquer the world, remember that you are very early on in your recovery. So glad that you are doing so well!
