Abdominal support for "fluffy" sisters/LAVH or daVinci
I got an abdominal binder just in case my surgery had to be switched to open incision. Had LAVH with 3 incisions - 2 small ones slightly lower than umbilicus on each side, and one larger 1" incision in navel. I'm a fluffy sister, and I found that the abdominal binder just didn't support in the right places for my weight and the incision locations.
I had meant to buy one of those light support camisoles prior to surgery and didn't get to it, but I found something that works well. I took a tube top and slid it down so it goes from right above pubic bone to just under boobs and it feels just right. Giving moderate support without binding or being too tight. I imagine it would work well for those with daVinci surgery too where the incisions are above the navel. Hope this helps other fluffy sisters with minimally invasive surgery.
