No Date: I go for consultation on August 21,2013

I go for my consultation on aug 21, I scared... Can someone tell me what to expect. How long it will take to get date of surgery?

It probably depends on where you are and your situation. I had a Da Vinci hyst, so I'm not sure if there's a difference between that an abdominal, as far as the scheduling is concerned. Here's my experience:

I ended up in the ER with a complex ovarian cyst, which was suspected of being cancerous (thankfully, it wasn't), on June 23. I was seen the next day by an OB/GYN, had tests and a summer vacation that lasted for about a month. On July 30, I saw a gyn/oncologist (you won't need this if no cancer is suspected). On Aug. 7, my DVH was done. I think if I hadn't pushed to keep my vacations, the surgery might have been July 21, but I had three weeks of vacation and a volunteer commitment during this time.

It really does depend on your situation, why you are having the surgery, medical issues, etc.
