Pre-Op today

Had my pre-op today everything is a go. They explained well happy of that. Not happy have to have an overnight stay for observation but I can handle it I hope!!
The pre-op wasn't so bad they did everything so when I go in I just go to my room and get ready for surgery.
I am very drained and my work is not letting up they seem to be pushing as much as they can as far as lifting. I am so drained it is taking alot just to move about I have been in pain for quite awhile. I turn in my LOA papers today yahoo and only have 5 more days to work this is somethig to lok forward to. Anyone out there have that much trouble with their employer or is it just where I work??

I had my pre-op today too. But I was able to arrange me schedule at work so that I could work from home this afternoon. Everything went fine with the pre-op. My doctor did not order an EKG, but they did one anyway because I have blood pressure problems.

Now the count down begins!

good luck...you will probably be happy to be in the hospital overnight for the rest and pain control. i wish you a speedy recovery

My Dr did order the EKG and exrays and bloodwork so I feel pretty whipped I work nights and had to be up early then head back to work for another night.
Well work is pushing one more button the doctor gave me the papers and put leave for 4 to 6 weeks they want a date the office said they could not be sure. So I have to call tomorrow and set a date they said if my work pulled this they would use the full time plus extra ristrictin time +1 Doctor -2 work. I also put in a transfer to be moved from the department I am in due to the fact of heavy lifting on a regular basis.
I am happy I only have 4 more days of work

Lucky for me I have a very understanding manager and a great team to work with.

Hi, November 15th sisters. I too will be with you on November 15th. My preop is tomorrow. I am suppose to have all my bloodwork and other tests on Wednesday the 14th from what I understand. I am still pretty nervous but stay in so much pain that I am ready to get this over with. One week to go, so the countdown is on as you say. I thought it would be kinda neat for the Nov 15th girls to kinda keep up with each other, not to leave anyone out or not support our other sisters, just post to a thread I started for Nov 15th sisters as well as all the other sister threads.
