Itching!

I know itching is normal when things are healing, tonight though has by far been the worst! The area under my inscision where my cervix would have been i guess. The catch 22 seems to be the more i itch, the more i cause swelling.

Has anyone found any tips/tricks to cope with the itching ? without doing more damage? lol

Re: Itching!

Itching can drive anyone crazy! I'm wondering if an over the counter anti-histamine might help? I'd suggest before you go doing yourself an injury ask a medical person like a nurse, pharmacist or your Doctor.
Personally when I get itchy I find either very warm heat pads, water etc or very cool ice packs cold compress help to take the itch away - if you can't get that area wet then try putting something in a ziploc bag or regular plastic bag with a knot in it.
All the best, hey keep in mind that if it's itchy then it's healing and you haven't lost any sensation
