6 months and spotting after sex?

Just wanted to ask any of you that is as far as I am along if you have had any problems with spotting after sex now? I havent had any problems, been just fine till about a week ago. Noticed that after sex I had alittle bit of spotting but it didnt last very long at all, like just half a day and only noticed it when I went to the bathroom. Now after having sex again, it is back and now alittle bit more. Still it is just pink discharge but I havent had that for quite some time. I don't hurt or anything and I still enjoy sex. Our sex life is quite good now, seeing how I want it alot, atleast 2 or 3 times a week, and it doesnt hurt when we are having it. So just wanted to see if any sisters out there have had this. Going to see if it happens again and if it does I guess I will need to call the Dr.s office. Thanks again.

6 months and spotting after sex?

My doc said this could happen down the road. Apparently from being less moist than before. You know, friction. I would get checked out and if everything is okay, maybe a little astroglide might help. Good luck.

6 months and spotting after sex?

I would say get to your doctor--it could be granulation tissue. It's vascular in nature and can cause spotting. I had a small piece of tissue (about the size of the end of a pinkie finger) that reared its head about a year after my LAVH--it caused bleeding after sex, my doctor found it in his office and treated me right away.

6 months and spotting after sex?

Hi dijoanne

(((isewquilts))) has a good point about granulation, which is like a scar tissue that won't quite heal. (((KingDuncan))) also has a point about dryness. Without your ovaries, vaginal dryness can set in - I've have issues with it since menopause in 2001. Some lubrication before intercourse may help with the spotting; I also use a longer term moisturiser - RePlens - to keep my vaginal tissues in good health. Lack of hormones can result in dryness and thinning of the tissues making them more susceptible to abrasion, hence bleeding.

You might check out your situation with your doctor. If you can take hormones, there are some very effective topical applications for your vagina that could help you in the future.

Best wishes and s.....Wendy

6 months and spotting after sex?

I had the same thing happen and went to the Dr to find out it was scar tissue built up that was being hit. They removed it and we will see how things go next time

6 months and spotting after sex?

Thank you ladies for all your replies, makes me a bit more at ease about it all. I figured it might be granulation but didn't think about dryness and all. I am on the patch and doing okay on it, so I really don't know if thats causing me any more dryness or not. But thanks again for everything!
