That helps ENORMOUSLY. Did you consider other options first? You just went for the hysterectomy right off the bat? You mentioned "another procedure" and I wasn't sure what you meant. I'm just curious how women came to their decisions and why. That seems to help me think about what I want.

As goodalg said.....It (fibroids) took over my life and I needed to get control of my life again. It feels good to be back in control.

Thanks. I needed to hear that. That's a good way to look at it. Here I am at 4:30 am, can't sleep thinking about it. I'm still in the adjustment phase even wondering if I'm going to have to have one. I'm hoping the Hysteroscopy (sp?) will help alleviate it but who knows? I keep wondering if the fibroid is UNDER the scarring and therefore too hard to get. Things like that just keep rolling around in my head. Plus we are having layoffs in the near future so now would not be the time to take 4 weeks off work for a major operation. Well, as they say, waiting is the hardest part.....
