Upcoming hysterectomy 8/16: Just 15 hours to go and getting scared.

Getting a bit freaked out. Surgery at 11:15 tomorrow. I'm sitting here alone trying not to overthink it but it's hard. I've never had major surgery and I do NOT like being away from home. I already miss my dogs and my grandkids and I just feel like crying! This is so much harder than I anticipated.

My heart goes out to you when I read your post. Try not to over think it & get some rest tonight. Maybe a relaxing soak in the tub before bedtime tonight might help. (no baths after surgery, only showers)

Try to stay positive about everything. Deep breathing can also help with stress. Good luck & hang in there, you should do just fine!

The night before surgery can be very difficult and emotionally intense indeed. It is hard to face major surgery. It is okay to feel how you feel.

The doctors and nurses will take very good care of you tomorrow, and they will monitor you ever so closely.

Try to distract yourself with favorite DVDs, books, or have chats with your family.
