Adenomyosis

I had A Novasure ablation, lap., and D&C on feb. 25 for heavy bleeding and cramps. Went for my post op check-up today and he tells me I have Adenomyosis now I'm not sure if it was the right thing to do my cramps seem to be worse. Has anyone had a novasure?

Adenomyosis

Hi mcsas,

I never had an ablation, but there are other gals here who have had this procedure. To find other threads where this is mentioned, click the "Search" button at the top of this screen and use the keyword search function. Search on "Novasure" or "ablation" and you'll be shown a list of the threads where this keyword is mentioned. Then you can review those threads to see what others have experienced.

I'm sorry to hear about your doctor's findings. An ablation normally doesn't help much when you have adenomyosis. But adeno is very hard to diagnose, so if this procedure has helped your doctor determine what is at the root of your problems, this should help you and your doctor evaluate your next steps. Unfortunately, a hyst is the only "cure" for adeno but your gyn may have suggestions for other treatments that might bring some relief.

Keep us posted on how you are doing. Sending hugs your way.

Beth
