the wait

after being diagnosed with fibriods in my uterus, both of my doctors agree i should get a hysterectomy. i was scheduled for the 9th, but the hospital called me at 10:30 the night before my 5am check in. i had done all the pre-op stuff already, and was annoyed, but understanding. the robot they were to use needed service. so we rescheduled for 3 weeks out. i am stressed, scared and nervous. im taking pain meds almost constantly. 3 weeks seems like such a long time. especially after already waiting 3 weeks before.

Re: the wait

Oh, I am so sorry you surgery got rescheduled. You get all ready, and then you have to wait. Three weeks seems like an eternity right now, I am sure. Hang in there.

Re: the wait

That would be very difficult to switch gears on such short notice. A lot goes into preparing ourselves mentally and physically before a surgery. Its a very good thing they found the robot needed servicing BEFORE you were unconscious and on the table! There's always a bright side :-)

Re: the wait

Sorry to hear about that froggieprincess. It has to be so frustrating. I have been waiting for this since June 15th.. and they finally got it set for Aug 19th, that seemed like an eternity.. only 5 days away now and I am so scared that something will happen (esp worried about catching a cold lol) and it having to be rescheduled.

Hang in there, we will all get through this.. I think lol
