Re: Upcoming hysterectomy: Suggestions for coping with anesthesia ...?

nobody pays any attention because it is NOT DIAGNOSED BY A DOCTOR!! you need to be seen by an endocrinologist. and if possible i would do it before your surgery so you don't have these issues. they need to figure out why you are going low and then they can come up with a treatment plan for it. unless you need the hysterectomy immediately i would actually hold off till you are seen by the endocrinologist. also normal blood sugars should be between 60-110 ideally the reason why no one pays any attention is because your are considered normal. i know this is going sound weird but are you sure your not having panic attacks as well as from what you are describing this may be happening as well. you really need to get to the bottom of this BEFORE your hysterectomy i think.

Re: Upcoming hysterectomy: Suggestions for coping with anesthesia ...?

I do know the difference between a panic attack and a sugar crash.

I have extremely limited transportation during this time of year, no local support network, and nothing to speak of in savings should my retail bosses decide I'm out too often for appointments, and start cutting my hours. I simply cannot add one more issue to work on right now.

I'm getting my hysterectomy now while I can, because I don't know what next year will be like. I don't know if I'll lose my Medicaid due to politics and/or relocation. I can still generally manage my hypoglycemia much better than I can my reproductive system issues.

do what you want but if i were you i would get the endocrine issues solved first. as they may or may not be contributing. and you are technically not crashing with a blood glucose of 89 as that is a normal sugar. trust me my sister is a type 1 diabetic i know the signs and symptoms.
