Re: begining to feel the blues is this normal
Hrt will help! I am surprised you have waited this long to start it. I still have my ovaries BUT THEY DON'T WORK! doc initially put me on vivelle doc .05 but I am very weepy and emotional and have no sex drive and headaches an oh the insomnia is awe full!!! New higher dose patch patch tomorrow .075 so we will see. But the HRT will help.

Re: begining to feel the blues is this normal
Feeling good. Had some post op issues but overall things are good. My doc released me from his care this last visit. I have to say that makes a difference as well. Life goes on and you begin to focus on those things other than every ache and pain so I have to say every day away from my surgery I am that much closer to being me and living life again. Remember once your hormones are better balanced things will get easier. Love to you!

Re: begining to feel the blues is this normal
I am feeling low too. Started 2 weeks ago along with flushes and not being able to get to sleep. I am having post op on tues and hoping to go on ert too. If only the flushes were less and I could get to sleep I would be ok.
When I asked the GP he said that they don't like prescribing ert for 6-8 weeks as they want everything to settle first and get it right. To my knowledge I've never had tests to check hormone levels before which I have read about on this site.

Re: begining to feel the blues is this normal
Poor you sending some love your way before I had op the pre admissions clinic told me HRT would be at 6-8 weeks but my consultant said no ASAP so I would definately ask at your post op about it. I had no hormone tests before other than for fertility reasons but for about six months before I have suffered night sweats which I'm still getting I start HRT today so I'm hoping it will help its the emotions I'm finding hard but I only had op 5days ago so I guess that's the anaesthetic as well have you had any other post op probs? hugs to you
