12 wks - Emotional mess

I feel so unbalanced. Things that normally I would have just blown off are getting under my skin. I have been really down this week, and having fits of crying for apparent no reason. I kept my ovaries, but feel they may not working quite right yet. I have hot flashes, and cold spells, and now this emotional stress. I have an appt to see my regular doctor next week - not sure it will do any good, because if it is my ovaries, I can't take HRT and will have to figure a way to deal with the symptoms another way. DH is frustrated with me, doesn't know how to deal with this - this whole experience for him has been TMI!!! I have no sisters, and mom lives in another country - I have reached out to a couple of friends who have been through this, but they didn't have issues like I am, but have been sympathetic. I don't want to be at work, I just feel like crawling into bed and hiding from the world. Any words of encouragement would be welcomed. I just feel like such a mess right now. Thank you for listening to my venting - I am so greatful to have this support site.

I am 20 weeks post op and am feeling that way too today b/c I am having PMS! Don't forget, with your ovaries still there, you get what you got before, minus the tampons! I have noticed that as I cycle, the PMS is MUCH worse than it used to be and I think that's because our hormones are different now than they were before. The bloating is MUCH worse and that's an aggravation itself (at least for me...) It's easier to get through the emotional stuff just knowing that it's very likely the period-free PMS that will pass just like it did before. Hang in there!
By the way, I am trying to have a sense of humor about my crankiness and wore white pants today just because i can, even if I do "get my period" :-)

i take celexa and xanax. i started on those rx as i started menopause. i feel like i did when i was a young girl. things do not bother me the way they did before. it is wonderful.

I take 2 antidepressants( one is for PMS) and klonopin and I have been down and I will probably getting an adjsutment in my meds today. I dont know how I would have made it without them after surgery...since after 2 weeks post op and until now I jsut havent been me, but it has been on and off.Well wishes
