Re: Frequent bathroom trips

Sounds like it could be a uti. Probably a good idea to give the doctor a call.

Re: Frequent bathroom trips

Your bladder was messed with during surgery, that's the nature of the beast, and bladders do not like it one bit. It is probably just irritated, give it a bit more time.

Re: Frequent bathroom trips

I got mine now in my 6th week. Funny how it happens just after my checkup, hahaha. Now on antibacterial, had to increase water intake. My doctor said maybe taking the post op meds and nsaid painkillers masked the symptoms.

That makes a lot since I thought that pain meds were keeping me from sleeping...so I cut way back of them.

Re: Frequent bathroom trips

I agree it could be UTI or it so swollen in there it could be that. I am four weeks today and I still have that but not as bad . It would not be a bad thing to check with also if you had a catherid in to. Just keep drinking plenty of water and the more get up helps your recovery.
I hope recovery goes well we are here for you.

Well I went into see the doctor and she said my urine had some bacteria in it and some traces of blood but she said not enough to say yes it was a UTI so she took some blood and my white blood count is up to just 1200...have to go back tomorrow to see if it's the same or elevated or going down...but no meds were given today??😕

I am 8 days post recovery. Maybe call your doc. Burning maybe a bladder infection. I was told by my Doc to empty my bladder every couple of hours and not let it get too full. Plus I feel like I need to go every couple anyway. Can you get some cranberry juice? Also, your bladder could be just irrated, but calling the Doc may be helpful.

How high does she want it to be before giving meds? I don't get that. Patient comfort and wellness should be first..!
