Facial neck and jawline petichial hemorrhages post Davinci LAVH

I am 1 day post Davinci LAVH and find that my face neck and jaw are covered with petechial hemorrhages. I also have high neck pain. Has anyone ever experienced this. My face is really puffy! Not a pretty picture. I didn't expect to look so ghastly.

I had the Davinici and did not experience this (hands were swollen though), but was told that the facial puffiness could happen since the body is somewhat 'inverted' during the procedure, head lower than body? Check with Dr, but sounds like you are experiencing this.

I called my surgeon, he gave me his personal cellphone number. He seemed concerned about the petechial hemorrhages and asked me to monitor them to see if it continues to worsen or becomes self limiting. He believes it is related to the head down position during surgery. The neck pain I have he feels is related to the position as well. It feels like when I used to slalom water ski and have a really bad wipe out and strain my neck. Heating pad and ibuprofen is helping. Thanks for the push to call my dr.
