Hysterectomy (all taken, but Right Ovary) 4 months ago...just getting night sweats...

Wondering if anyone has had a hysterectomy where the surgeon was able to leave an ovary. I had a large mass/tumor on my left ovary (luckily non-cancerous) which led to the laparoscopic hysterectomy. 4 months later, I am starting to get night sweats. I was told I may experience "menopause" symptoms, but still not go into full menopause. It's been 4 months...can that be happening just now or I wonder if it is full menopause?? Anyone with a similar scenario?

So glad you were able to keep one ovary. Even as we navigate menopause, they are so important.
I checked your statistics and at age 47, you are in perimenopause whether you realize it or not.
I believe your symptoms are a combination of perimenopause, the loss of one ovary and the remaining ovary being jostled from the surgery.
I'm looking forward to hearing other opinions.

Initially, I was able to retain both ovaries but in 2020, I had to have one removed due to damage. I was able to gain beneficial hormone production until early 2022. I not only had night time sweat, but I had them during the day also.

Have you had an FSH or any hormone testing done? That would be a good place to start. That way you and your doctor can formulate an idea on the best approach (HRT, no HRT or perhaps Plant based Estrogens).

Create a Symptom Journal along with a list of questions for your visit that way you have feedback to share.
