Hair... what to do with it?
I know that hair is not that of a big deal, but I have some questions. I have hair down to the middle of my back, and have been reading on the boards how tired some women get after surgery from blow-drying their hair. My question is, did anyone cut their hair before surgery to make it easier on yourself? If so did you regret doing so? I have been thinking of getting a short cut.
Any suggestions or comments would help.

Hair... what to do with it?
I have been wondering the same thing! Mine is not as long as yours but still long enough that if I don't blow it dry then it needs to put up. But putting it up all the time makes my head sore! I don't think I want my head to be sore on top of everything else!!! LOL
I am afraid if I cut it now I will regret it. A lady I know told me not to do anything to my hair while my hormones are nuts...to wait so I wouldn't regret it and be upset about it! So I don't know what to do!
Any more decisions and my head will
:explode:
Seems like the tiniest things set me off lately. My nerves are just shot. It makes me feel so goofy!!! I sat here a couple of days ago in tears over what to do with my silly hair. I'll be glad when this is over!!!
I am not myself at all!!!!

Hair... what to do with it?
If you really don't want to cut your hair, but blow drying it will tire you out, how about pulling it over your shoulder and braiding it on one side? You wouldn't have to dry it, you could braid it while it is still damp.

Hair... what to do with it?
Hello Treksh ... I have hair that passes about 3 inches after my shoulders. It is hard normally to wash it.. Have to pile it up on my head and scrub.. Plus it is summertime... I told my hubby a few days ago I was getting it cut short.. He says no way. Well even if he does not like it I am the one going through this. He says he will wash it and brush it for me. He told me to put it in a ponytail... I said yeah like I really feel like laying down a week or more with a knot... That would hurt! And he will only be off from work the first week I am having surgery.. After that I am left to myself and 2 small kids. So I will go half way with him.. About 2 weeks before my surgery I am going to get it cut mid length.. Maybe at my chin... If he does not like it, he can wait until it grows back.
Best wishes with whatever you decide..
Hugs,
Michelle

Hair... what to do with it?
I used to have long hair and I would suggest you just braid your hair after surgery until your hormones settle down. It gets it out of your way without having to be up. I used to French braid mine, which made it look less flat on top. If you do it in big chunks it doesn't take too long. Plus I could leave it braided for a day or so, get up on morning, brush it out, and have waves. ta-dah!
I hope this helps. This is really not the time to be cutting your hair. If you change your mind it'll take at least a year to grow it back out to the point that you can pull it back.
I cut my hair years ago and am now growing it out again, so I do have a bias here. I have short hair and if I lie down with it wet, it can look pretty hysterical. But I didn't care the first few days.

Hair, Hair, Everywhere!!
Hi everyone...I have hair down to my waist...I will NEVER cut it anymore than a trim...thats just me!!
I sleep with my hair in at least one plait...and plan on going into surgery (on Thursday)with two plaits, so I dont have to lie back on any lumps!
Hope this helps, some!!
Luv and Hugs,
Terri

Hair... what to do with it?
I have most of my hair below my shoulders. I didn't cut my hair prior to my surgery and had no regrets about it.
If you don't want to get your haircut, then don't. The final decision is yours and yours alone.
Take care!

Hair... what to do with it?
Glad to know I wasn't the only one that worried about this type stuff....I think you should leave your hair as it unless you just want a shorter cut...I had no problems with mine (other than having to put it in the unflattering blue cap right before surgery) and just had it cut and colored...A lot of people told me the color would be off because of the anesthesia still in my system...It turned out ok...A little drier than usual but that is easily remedied....Just to give you a laugh....I got a manicure and pedicure right before surgery amidst comments that the castle would make me remove it...Apparently they don't do that anymore....I think they were amused that I was worried about something like that before major surgery....Glad to say my toenails were still pink after surgery (ha ha)...Best of luck to you

Hair Style.....
Hi ,
I have waist lenght hair and I would NOT dream to getting it cut. I plan to have my hair braided when I go in for my surgery. Then I will be wearing it either in a pony tail or re-braided if I feel up to re-doing it. I am not not worried about laying on the knot. If it bothers me I just lay it over my shoulder. I had considered getting a perm so that it would be easier to care for while recovering (planned on just picking it out and letting it hang curly) but decided against it. I was worried that I wouldn't like it that way not to mention it was going to be expensive because of the lenght of my hair.
Big Gentle
Take Care, Dawn

HAIR......
Hi!
My hair is pretty short, and I'm gonna cut it even shorter right before surgery. The last thing I want to worry about is standing up blow-drying my hair and having bed-head. I'm more worried about the hair on my legs!
