Castle Music??

Just wondering....If you are going to be taking music with you or have taken music with you to the castle....What would you or did you bring??

For the past hour, while reading the pre-op and post-op message boards, I've been listening to Enya, so she will be traveling with me to castle

Thanks!

Susan

Castle Music??

(((((Susan)))))

I did bring my portable CD player with me.

Since my taste in music is so vast, I took a couple of different types.

Metallica for my wild side, Kenny G for my mellow side, Lone Star for my country side, Paul McCartney just because he's great, Stevie Wonder for my soulful side.

I do believe I listened to ALL of them in the two days I was in the castle.

I suggest bringing the music you enjoy. Even meditation tapes/CDs if that helps you relax.

Best of luck to you, let us know what you decide to take with you and if it helped.

Castle Music??

My hospital had a choice when I checked in. I chose "relaxing classical" and it really did! They had quite a range.

I wasn't in the Castle long enough to really listen to music. I went in at 8 am on Monday and home on Tuesday at 6 pm. I was coming out of anesthesia most of the time & wouldn't have recognized any music I heard!

I don't have a portable CD player thingy but I wish I did have one for my surgery. I'd have taken relaxation music for sure, plus a couple of my favorite CDs. Just whatever made me feel good at the moment. Maybe I still need to buy one! You've got me wanting to take my music to the gym!

Castle Music??

I took my own headset player with me and the option of taking it into the O.R. but got so busy with prepping that I forgot to ask if I could take it in with me during surgery. Some sisters have done that during surgeries if they were awake with spinals. It was nice to have for recovery.

Yes, I'm definitely taking soothing music with me to the castle. I even have some relaxation CDs featuring nature sounds like the ocean surf and a thunderstorm. Hope it helps!
