vaginal cuff hematoma?

Twelve weeks out and I am told I most likely have a vaginal cuff hematoma. Anyone know what that is? How it is treated or had this happen to them? I would like to resolve this already. Bleeding for twelve weeks! When will this end!

Poor you! I hope it resolves soon, too. What does your doctor say?

I have been having cuff issues myself.

What are your symptoms?

vaginal cuff hematoma?

I had passed a little blood last Saturday night after sex so I saw my doc on Monday morning and he examined me then saw some granulation which he cauterized with silver nitrate. It didn't hurt....it wasn't bad at all. The down side is he said no sex for 3 weeks lol.

How are you doing Sherri?

vaginal cuff hematoma?

Better, I think. I finished my antibiotics on Tuesday for a cuff infection. I have this creepy feeling it may be coming back. At times I feel discomfort. Almost like a nerve pain at the top of my vagina. I have noticed stitches coming out, so I hope it is related to that. I am also having a slight discharge that is kind of a tanish pink. I hear that is normal though.

I'm glad the silver nitrate didn't hurt. I have heard some people complain of intense cramping afterwards. I also hear it is pretty common to have granulation. I hope the one treatment clears it up for you.

vaginal cuff hematoma?

I was waiting for the cramping to start too but all I got was a barely noticeable ache, and a tiny amt of the silver nitrate discharging. I think the father out from surgery we are, the less pain we will feel from the cauterization. Just MHO. I hope one treatment clears it up.

I hope what you're feeling is normal and not an infection coming back. I don't know about infections, tho so can't really say, but I hope everything is back on track now

Thanks for the replies. I don't think granulation and hematoma are the same issue though. The symptom is bleeding. Not residual bleeding, fresh bleeding, fresh bright blood.
I will see my surgeon on Tuesday. I hope to have more info at that time. I will also have an ultra-sound before the appointment so I should know more then. I just thought there might be someone out there who has already had this condition.
Thanks again

vaginal cuff hematoma?

Thanks. So far I have not heard from anyone about this condition. Could it be unusual? I'm just a little nervous about how it is treated. The idea of going under again doesn't make me happy and going on like this also doesn't make me happy.
Thanks again

From what I've read here, hematomas can resolve on their own. Or the doc may help things along somehow with the healing process. All the best, Princess!
