6-7 weeks post op and my incision is still not closed

I am now 6-7 weeks post op from my partial hysto. And it was a glued incision. I am feaking because I still am bleeding and oozing from about a 1/2 inch to 1 inch part of my incision. I saw the doctor on Thursday and she put silver nitrate but it only made it bleed more it seems. I also am noticing a lttle bleeding coming from another area now. I dont know what to expect and I am really upset and confused why this isn't healing. Is anyone else going threw any of this?

Re: 6-7 weeks post op and my incision is still not closed

I went thru it. I would recommend that you ask to be referred to a "Wound Care Facility" ASAP. My gyn referred me out after my incision failed to close, and I am very glad I went. The nurses and dr's at the hospital where I went were extremely competent and kind, and they definitely helped me.

Also, I was told by the nurses that sometimes our bodies just get "stuck". That is, the body sort of just "forgets" that it still has more healing to do, and the healing stalls out. My primary care doc had advised me just to wait it out, and I am very glad that I did not. Happy healing Sister. Saying a healing prayer for you and all my Sisters!
