Pressure, bloating and odd pains

I just had 2 large volleyball/football sized tumors removed and a few small ones. The dr was shocked because I had been on lupron for a couple months, since my robotic surgery removed everything- on Monday nov 4 I have had horrid back pain, stomach is still very sore and swollen. I can breathe better but my stomach feels like there is a void- is this normal? Are things just shifting inside there? I feel kinda off wierd-

Re: Pressure, bloating and odd pains

Hugs honey your body had truly been through a lot! The void feeling is normal, especially since you had several large masses removed. I just had my normal sized uterus removed and I could feel the void from that. Your other organs will enjoy the elbow room now available in your abdomen and everything will settle into its new spot. The back pain may be due to the position you were in during surgery. Try a heating pad, that helped me somewhat. Also gently moving around occasionally to help the muscles limber up. Your stomach may feel sore and swollen for a few weeks yet. It's not unusual to keep swelling for months post op. Your body has been through a trauma and it won't bounce back in a few days - it will likely be a few months. Hang in there!
