Anyone been on long term pain meds?

I was wondering if anyone has been on long term pain meds? I have been on some sort of pain med for the past 8 yrs. Motrin 800 mg and percocet almost the whole time with some Methadone, Oxycotin, Vicadon, (Valium just recently and only as needed) and they gave me a sucker of Fentalyn? I never used the sucker they said they were for cancer patients and I thought I am definately not in that much pain? But I was unable to function. I spent almost 2 yrs on my couch and 3 being very unsocial expect one other couple and now they are not even talking to us. I have been seeing my pain management dr for 7 yrs.

I have also tried homeopathic, acupuncture, massage, reiki, you name it I have tried it!

My biggest concern is the long term affects on my kidneys and liver. My goal is to be off my meds by the end of the year? If this is even possible? Any help at this point would be great!
