Garlic pre Surgery

Hi,

In the pre-op section is says to eliminate some herbs, including garlic used for health. Does this mean I should not use garlic in cooking either, or is it just the concentrated in garlic supplements.

I wouldn't take any concentrated garlic before your hyst. Garlic in very small amounts in cooking should be ok. If you are in any doubt eliminate it from your diet completely. I expect it is the concentrated form that they mean. Best wishes.

I think that since you're concerned about it, you could call your dr and ask. I was not taking concentrated garlic and it was not mentioned on the list that my dr gave me of what to stop taking before my hysterectomy.
