A question when internal stitches dissolve

When your internal stitiches dissolve do all women bleed when this happens or just for some women?

Re: A question when internal stitches dissolve

I didn't bleed at all. There was some tan colored discharge at about 3 weeks that my doctor said was due to the stitches dissolving.

Re: A question when internal stitches dissolve

I'm 4 weeks post op, and haven't had any bleeding. If I over do it, I see a VERY SLIGHT pink when I wipe! But other than that, I think the flood is over for good!!!

Happy Healing, Sisters!

Re: A question when internal stitches dissolve

My bleeding picked up around 5 1/2 weeks and continued through 7 1/2 weeks. It wasn't ever like a period. It was mostly just some spotting. I wore minipads some days. Other days it wasn't necessary.

Re: A question when internal stitches dissolve

I didn't bleed or have discharge with dissolving stitches.

I felt a few passing along thru the vagina tho. Not painful.

Most of mine passed at the 7 week mark. Passed a few between the 4-5 week. Have not seen any since.

Re: A question when internal stitches dissolve

I stopped any spotting 2 days after surgery. I never saw a stitch or felt anything. At my 6 week check up all stitches were gone and my cuff was healed.

Re: A question when internal stitches dissolve

I have been light bleeding ever since surgery. Mainly when I wipe or do to much walking.

Re: A question when internal stitches dissolve

I only bled the first day or two after surgery. After that, no bleeding, not even any real discharge to speak of either.

Re: A question when internal stitches dissolve

I've had a light pinkish/brownish discharge lately, which my doc said is probably the stitches dissolving. I spotted for a day or two after surgery, but no bleeding since.
