Got my Date, Now I Nervous

I just got a call from my doctor. I'm scheduled for June 11th at 7:30 a.m., the first one in for the day! I've gone from ok I'm going to have surgery to I'M GOING TO HAVE SURGERY! I was ok 5 minutes ago before I knew my date and now that I have a date I'm freaked and my hands are shaking!

I understand.
I'm 3 days after you. The day they called to give me the date, I was a bundle of nerves. Now I'm just excited, and can't wait to get it done.

There are many emotions to go through on this journey. Allow yourself to feel them, and don't apologize for how you feel!
You will be ok. Just lean on the sisters for support when you need it. We are all here for each other.

Honestly, what you are going through now is the hardest part. The waiting is worse than the procedure.

While you are waiting, this board is a wonderful resource. You can read what the other ladies have gone through and read the hospital stories as well.

I don't have a date yet and I think it is making me more crazy then knowing when it will happen. This site has been so beneficial to me and I know it will for you too. Take care.

Hi guys.

For me personally, I felt so much better once I got the date. No more wondering, no more waiting just to see how long I had to wait. No I feel I can concentrate on all the preperations. Although somedays I do feel like I'm living in a glass box, I can see out and everyone can see in, but I'm seperate in my own little world. Except here, of course. I wonder if that's why some many of us seem addicted to this site. Thank goodness for it!!

I got my date last Wed. and it is this Thursady April 15th. Didn't want to wait any longer than necessary. Ran around Thursday last week prepping for surgery. Finally finished yesterday. I am actually looking forward to not being in pain and to stop bleeding, While I know it will be more painful immediately following surgery. In the long run no more pain, periods- It sure sounds like a blessing to me.

I had my surgery on 03/19/04 @ 8:00 am...it was very difficult for me to make the decision to have the surgery...I am happy it is all over with...I am recovering nicely....the first week was the worst for me...you will be fine....it's normal to be scared....

I was relieved when I got my date, now I am up and down like a yo-yo. One minute I am all confident and excited, and the next I feel like I am going to !!!!!!
Of course I was not supposed to have my visit from Aunt Flo until the day of my surgery, and she came 4/1/04 and stayed until today, so I figure that was my way of knowing I did the right thing!!!Don't be nervous, think how wonderful it will be to be a princess!
