Week two was probably my least favourite (ha). (I really did sometimes fear, in that second week, that I'd be shuffling around in a house-robe eating toast and sleeping every few hours for another two months.)

My biggest worry was about going back to work because it's such an active high-energy job. I wasn't ready at three weeks, but for me, it seemed that if the first two-three weeks were measured by weekly improvement, after my three-week mark (to the day, in fact), I improved daily. By the time of my post-op appointment at my four-week mark, I was thinking I could go back to work, and gave myself one extra week to feel truly ready. Which is just a long convoluted way of saying that you may start to feel up to it by the end of the coming week. I can't believe how much better I feel now. I thought I'd be collapsing to bed every day after work this week, but surprisingly, I was able to stay up, put my feet up, and just enjoy being.

We may not recover as quickly as we'd like at the start, but it's ultimately how healthy we feel at the end that's key, and I really hope you'll see some positive changes in energy in the coming week! Keep us posted!

Re: Slow Down...

I really envy you ladies who have been sleeping. I feel that my brain has been re-wired for being over-active but unfocused. I would just love to be napping during the day. I am so bored, but totally unable to concentrate. I was imagining lying around reading, but I just can't focus my mind!
One good thing though, I have been sleeping well at night. I feel quite good physically, but my insides soon let me know if I try to do too much, so I'm just trying to take it little by little.
