Bummed...possible surgery postponement

After struggling with the decision to have the hysterectomy, I decided to do it and that it was in my best interest. This site made me very comfortable with my decision. My second-opinion doctor thought she could do an LAVH, and that was important in my decision. We are in the midst of selling our company and are very busy. I managed to get my surgery scheduled for March 11, and that would allow me to be back to work when the worst wave hit. I was born with some heart and lung problems, so I had to get a release from my pulmonologist and cardiologist. I got a response to my e-mail from the pulmonologist today, and he said he wanted an echocardiogram, an office visit, and time to consult with my cardiologist to assess the risk. I don't see any way I can make my date. I'm pretty bummed. I was ready to go in hemmoraghing for the last time! Now, I think I better buy more of "those" products! : (

I'm sorry to hear that. Perhaps they can accomodate you and get you in, after all you have a few days. Do they know your surgery date?
