I was sooo happy to heed this advice.......

Bring your own cutesy gown and robe, you will feel much more comfortable walking the halls (waiting for BM's).
Check out books at the Library on Abdominal and Hysterectomy surgeries, be in the know (I'm a research nut).
Do your cleaning, shopping, paying bills, run errands, etc. in advance (not all in one day or weekend, of course).
When you get home, screen your calls......you will not feel like hearing from work!!
Ask for help the first week home after surgery, you will need it!!
And ask Hubby to bring to the hospital the day you are released, a pillow for your tummy (TAH/BSO).....for traveling home.
