I just need to breathe............. (PANIC)

Good luck to you ladies in waiting! I had my ovaries & tubes out this time along w/adhesions, some cysts and endo (I think)-I was a little out of it when the dr told me.

Anyway, I had to do a bowel prep the day before and felt soooo miserable and drained from it. I ended up vomiting the antibiotics that I was supposed to have. Let me tell you, the surgeon put it correctly when he said "After going through that you didn't want to back out did you?" Ah, nope! I otherwise may have.

When I had my uterus out I was so prepared in many ways. I was emotionally, phyically and mentally ready. W/this surgery I have been put on Zoloft a few months ago, lost 10 lbs of my scrawny frame and didn't want to have another surgery. I was very nervous and sick of the thought of having to do surgery, but I had to have it. I was ill and in pain and emotionally a wreck that there wasn't a real reason not to do it. Hopefully in a few weeks I'll be feeling 100%. I am definitely not at this point due to health before the surgery.

I'm not sure of the point of this, but good luck to you all!!

Breathing is key. I know that when the ugly "we may have to postpone your surgery" first came up, I had originally been in a panic like you -- but now, my panic stems from not having it scheduled.

My surgery date is now some mist in the future - still not rescheduled.

I would rather be the one looking at the date. Concentrate on what comes AFTER instead of before.

Best of luck and I will pray for you!

Hey Tara! So you did get your date. Yeaaahhhhh! Don't back out. it will all be worth it! You're gonna wake up from surgery and say to yourself "Well, dang, that was easy!"
Until then, stay off the post op boards. They can be kind of scary until you are there yourself. Better to read those things that affect you, than those things that MIGHT. Immerse yourself in the pre boards, so that you will go to the castle feeling loved and prepared.
I had a horrible time leaving the pre boards! It's like this is your lifeline, and you don't want to let go of it and the friends you made. But then you, and they, will pass to the other side and meet again. And there is no kingdom decree that you can't come back to help others along.
You won't feel like visiting for a few days, other than maybe a quick note to let us know you are home. And that's OK, we either understand because we've been there, or will understand when we get there. Plus you have real live people in your home to deal with, while us faceless friends wait patiently for you to have time and energy for us. That's the beauty of cyber communication.
Do not panic. We'll be waiting for you, to answer your questions, to hear your stories, to be your sisters. Even if we have to wait a few days. Each of us was met by someone (or many someones) and you will be too!
Z.
