Having a Partial Hyst. this friday.

Having a partial Hysterectomy this friday 02/01/13. I had an endometrial ablation two years ago and gained 50 lbs. It may sound vein but, I am only 4"11 and another 50 pounds will put me at 220. Imagine. Has anyone gone through this. Please help.

Surprisingly i lost 10 pounds between my pre OP appt and my 3 week post OP checkup (lying in bed, doing nothing, eating .. Watching TV). My uterus only weighed 1 pound so 9 have gone AWOL.
If you are keeping ovaries , you should not go into menopause which from my understanding can cause weight gain. Also, as someone who never exercised .. My doc explained that since i will now have more energy, which i do ... I will probably be "doing more" which should hopefully prevent any weight gain.
