Hurts to pee

Ok 5 wks post op. Still hurts to pee. Most of the time it is just at the end. Should this still be happening? Dr said it was normal a 2wk check up.

It could be bladder spasms. Mine said it was normal too, but she didn't really listen.
Is it more of a cramping pain, rather than burning like a UTI? If it feels like a cramp, especially at the end of peeing, it sounds like bladder spasms.

If so, there is medication that helps. When mine was still so bad at 3 weeks that it made me gasp in pain, I called the nurse and explained my symptoms more specifically, and she gave me a four day sample of Urelle. In 1 day it was 50% better, and in 4 days it was almost 100% better. When I stopped taking it, my symptoms came back a little bit, but much much more mildly than before.

But here's the funny part, it turns your pee bright blue. I mean brighter than toilet cleaner. It is worth taking it just for the entertainment value!

Talk to your doctor, and describe the pain very specifically, and ask if he can give you something for it.

I had that too, and I often thought it was because when the bladder was emptying as we are sitting, it was directly on top of the stitched area? Just a thought though. I also had a UTI which worsened it.
