dVH/RALH: bowel prep

J am having my surgery in 6 hours. I did the bowel prep and the MD said I have to do 3 enemas this morning before the surgery.. I still have diarrhea from the prep HELP anyone with similar circumstances... SO NERVOUS

Wow, 3 enemas... I'm so sorry. I am doing my cleanse today... I will drink the magnesium citrate at 2pm.

Bowel prep? I think I was ill prepared by my doctor. I go into surgery tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m. I even called my dr. office yesterday to follow up and confirm and there was no discussion. Am I missing something???? Now I'm starting to get anxious.

You're not missing anything. Not all docs and procedures require it. I asked my doc, and was told it wasn't necessary and to PLEASE not do it.

Oh thank goodness! I was feeling great about all this until I started reading all these posts and then the worry and anxiousness started in. I called my dr. office again just to make sure I wasn't overlooking any instructions.
