ears plugged after anesthesia

I've read old posts that one person had this. I woke up with ea rs plugged like there was fluid. My right one is normal but left one keeps popping and still is. Clogged.

You don't say what type of surgery you had but if you were tilted backwards you may have had some nasal fluid run into your sinus cavities.. Have you tried an OTC sinus med?

i too had problems with my right ear being clogged or plugged after my surgery, it took several weeks before it finally cleared up. i took sudafed and that seemed to help some.. hopefully this helps!!

Me too. So I thought it might be the pain meds so I quit taking them. Ears cleared up after that. Also I read that you are supposed to stay upright for like an hour after taking the ibuprofen (600 mg) and I had been taking it and lying down. I did that and it helped a lot.
