3 weeks post op, mixture of red and brown blood

Hi everyone, for the past few days I have a mixture of red and brown blood, not a lot on the loo paper after having a wee but I seem to be leaking every now and then, using about 3 panty liners a day. I have no follow up appointment if it wasn't for you ladies I think I'd have worried myself to death by now. I would be grateful if anyone can help me. Thank you.

Re: 3 weeks post op, mixture of red and brown blood

Hi Helen, sometimes the spotting is a sign that you are doing a little too much. When we start feeling better, we start to do more forgetting that our insides need a little more time in healing to catch up to the outside us. If you soak a pad an hour then you need to be seen. Sometimes slowing down and resting your body helps. Try not to worry too much. If the bleeding increases, give your doctor a call and see what he says. It gives you peace of mind

Lots of (((HUGS))) to you

Re: 3 weeks post op, mixture of red and brown blood

Hi Helen,
I had this red/brown bleeding from day 10 post op to the end of Week 5 post op.
It is normal I was told, there was a bruise inside on top of the Vaginal cuff and was bleeding out through the Vagina.
Since I had disolvable stitches there was also a bit of smell until they had totally disolved.
