Two weeks post hysterectomy: Suture site oozing

Two weeks post op, one suture ozzes very little on and off with a little red . Haven't taken suture patch off yet., not ever told to..it's a bit red around the area and sensitive. Also a bit of odor... Thinking I might go have it looked at tomorrow. I probably over did it over this holiday weekend. On my feet for too long..

Please put a call into doctors office. If it is red around it, you want to ensure there is not any infection brewing.

Thanks, just did.. I also dabbed some hydrogen peroxide on it..
Doc just called.. Not concerned too much(I.e. No antibiotics today) right now, but If oozing turns color or redness expands to call back.
I'm relieved!

Did de say to use peroxide? My directions said not to at all cause it inhibits healing. Hopefully that takes care of it for you!

Yeah, I just used it once or twice.. It seems to be subsiding... Redness has gone away..
