3 weeks post-op

Hello,

I'm 3 weeks post-of, healing however dragging and still experiencing gas-gas-gas.

BMs are difficult therefore taking a stool softener, drinking lots and lots of water, and 1 tall glass of prune juice a day.

Sitting is very uncomfortable therefore either I'm lying down or walking around the house in circles.

Still wearing the binder at night, and sometimes during the day, otherwise wearing firm undergarments so that I don't feel like ever thing wants to fall out through my incision.

Pain is managed by Tylenol.

Did not resume HRT, until the 5th day after the hysterectomy, which did not kick in until the 9th day. My spouse has learned the importance of HRT, the time in between consisted of non-stop crying, hot flashes, and just not myself.

One item I would like to share is that I created a treasure box, that easily moves from my bed to my nightstand. Perfume gift sets come packed in these great boxes, the particular one I'm using is gold with a clear top, hence the idea of creating a container of items all in once place and referring to it as My Treasure Box. In my treasure box I have all remotes (3), pad, pencil, breath mints, reading glasses, eye glass leash, glass wipes, chap stick, lipstick, mail opener, phone, iPod, and blue tooth. My best idea yet, and my spouse has appreciated it also. When he is looking for the remotes, he knows there are in my box.

In short, based on all the postings I've read, due to this fantastic website, I'm progressing as expected (even thought I don't like it), and experiencing what everyone else is also dealing with (indignities) of a TAH.
