My promised Neprinol etc. results...

As promised....

Ultrasound today...no change. Still same old 15 week/cantaloupe sized uterus with fibroids etc. Largest fibroid = 8cm. Not a millimeter difference. Last ultrasound was 3 months ago. I had done the following in the past 3 months:

1. Neprinol and Brevail for 2 months.
2. Acupuncture weekly for 3 months.
3. Chinese herbs for 3 months.
4. Vitex, L-Arginine, Maitake Mushroom extract, DIM, no soy,

I'm 50, 1.75 years menopausal (or is it post menopausal...haven't had a period for 1.75 years).

No adverse symptoms from the enlarged uterus.

I was a fibroid lady in pre-op so I appreciate what you are going through. Fibroids are not fun!! Ever!! My fibroids were on always on my mind. 24/7.

In my opinion, if you are not having adverse symptoms, then maybe do the ~observation~ route. One bit of good news is that the fibroids did not grow in size. One of the major reasons I preceeded with a hyst was because my fibroids were getting bigger. If your fibroids are stable, then why not wait-and-see.

Possibly you are a good candidate for a UFE (Uterine Fibroid Embolization)?? The procedure shrinks fibroids. Your being in menopause and not showing signs of fibroid growth, the fibroids may not grow back with an alternate procedure.

Also, possibly you are a candidate for a laparoscopic hyst?? A laparoscopic hyst generally has less recovery time.

Just some thoughts. Just pat yourself on the back and really ~acknowledge~ yourself that you tried some significant options. You will always have that to reflect on, whichever direction you choose.
