Countdown is on!

Hi Mollie. That's too bad that you had to move your date but at least it's not too much later. I hope it didn't mess up your schedule for recovery too much.

I had my TLH yesterday. I've posted some details in the recovery progress threat in post op.

I'm feeling okay. I'm managing pain with vicodin and ibuprofen. Plus I'm taking arnica. I feel okay walking around the house except I feel really weak. The only real pain comes when I'm getting in and out of bed.

I've been able to eat a little - crackers and miso soup. I've been drinking lots of fluids. It's funny but Iweighed myself the morning of surgery and this morning. My scale says I gained 8 lbs! I hope it's just gas and liquids. maybe I'll post a questions about that in the post op forum

But I really feel good considering I had organs removed.

Like they all say - waiting is the hardest part!

Sorry about that Mollie

I went in on Tuesday, all went okay, out on Friday..and feeling stronger every day. True that waiting is the hardest part..Eating and drinking - and lost 3lbs(sorry Tammy.lol), walking around is getting easier too.

You'll be fine Mollie, keep us posted how you're feeling-won't be two minutes and you'll be on the other side with us..

I refuse to get back on that scale now!

Just keep busy Mollie. Are you going to stay overnight? Bring earplugs. I ended up going home but it was so loud and annoying in the hospital that I'm glad I brought earplugs just in case.

I also brought a bottle of water. It's hard to get the nurses attention for more water post op so luckily we had our own that my DH could keep refilling my glass for me. I'm going to post this in the hints section!
